Dr. Sugumar Mariappanadar

Sugumar is an internationally acclaimed professional who has helped shape innovative approaches to embed sustainability programs across organisations. He consults in Australia and internationally using the new Organisation Sustainability Maturity Matrix framework, which he jointly developed with Nicholas Barnett, Executive Chair of Board Benchmarking. He also regularly conducts workshops on ESG sustainability, consults on sustainability reporting and climate-related financial disclosures that avoid green and whitewashing.

Sugumar uses our proprietary ESG Maturity Matrix and ESG Transformation Plan Framework to help businesses understand their level of ESG maturity and to develop a transformation plan to lift that maturity. He also assists businesses with their journey to capture and disclose quality material financial information on governance and management approaches as required by the AASB S1 and mandatory S2 disclosures.
