Optional Extras for Your Board Skills Matrix Survey
Our Board Skills Matrix Surveys include several options, as shown in the Overview section, at no extra cost. A debrief to the Chair on how to interpret and act on the Board Skills Matrix Report is also included at no extra cost.
Our Advanced and Premium versions of our Board Skills Matrix Report include both a description of each skill and a one or two-paragraph definition of each. Some boards will be happy to provide us with their existing descriptions and definitions of each, which we can insert into the survey.
Review of and adding rigour to the skill and behaviour categories and definitions
Many boards appreciate our assistance in reviewing and adding rigour and sophistication to their categorisation of skills and behaviours, as well as their definitions of each. We typically do this by assisting the CEO and/or Company Secretariat in improving their current version. We then facilitate a discussion with them, the Chair and one or more other directors to finalise the categories of skill and the definitions to be used in the survey.
Expert advice to the Board
The same expert who advised the Chair will then present to the board, incorporating any critical context provided by the Chair regarding the Skills Matrix Report. This presentation will be conducted via video and provide advice on how to interpret and act on the report. During the session, our expert will address all questions from the board members.
